Formal Hairstyles

There are certain occasions such as weddings and first communions where children require formal hairstyles be completed in the hair. Through these formal hairstyles, there are a variety of looks that can be completed. Whether you are styling long or short hair for children, here are some tips which should be kept in mind to appease the child, style the hair and ensure that the style remains within the hair throughout the duration of the event.Use these tips while styling formal hairstyles for children:
- Children have fine hair and therefore preparing the hair before styling is an important way to ensure that the style remains in place throughout the entire day. The style should be used within hair that has not been washed in at least one day to ensure that the natural oils within the hair can be used to assist with the style. Dirty hair works best with formal hairstyles, especially in the fine hair of children.

- When curling the hair for formal hairstyles, use a comb to ensure that the curling iron is not being placed too close to the head of the child. This can ensure that the child will not become burned by the curling iron being too close to the head. Consider adding some volume into the hair by back-combing before the curls are completed to ensure the longest hairstyle possible.
